About Us
I am a licensed HVAC contractor in Michigan, previously licensed in South Carolina, where I owned and operated an HVAC business for 15 years in the Hilton Head area. Before that, I studied heating, cooling, and refrigeration at The Technical College of the Lowcountry.
Hilton Head is a prominent retirement community, and we quickly noticed that customers were often pressured into purchasing unnecessary repairs and equipment. It was our pleasure to help individuals understand their HVAC systems so they could make informed decisions. Whether it led to a repair or a replacement, our customers felt confident in their choice, and we always offered fair pricing.
Family Owned & Operated
Over the past 10 years, my father’s health has been failing and in 2022 we moved back home to Michigan to be close to him, my mother, and the rest of our family. We sold our business in South Carolina and recently opened Cobb Family Heating & Cooling in west Michigan, which I run with my two sons, my daughter, and a network of close friends, tradespeople, and contractors. We are very happy to be home and look forward to providing our services to the community.
Our Mission
We believe that trust is foremost in this industry. The cell phone number on our website, my business card, and other marketing materials is my personal number. When you call us, you will not be speaking to an office person or dispatch; you will be talking directly to a licensed contractor. Our main goal is to help our customers get the most out of their existing equipment and to know when it might be the right time to replace it. We have a repair-first mentality and believe sales should be a very small part of the process. You will not find any high-pressure sales tactics with us.
